I met Static Geoff at one of the ‘We Brought our Friends’ events, organised by Birmingham electronic act Magnetophone, who had recently released Their ‘Air Methods’ 7″ on the Van. I asked Geoff if he would like to hear some stuff, I sent him the Brother Stair tape and some other stuff and he liked it enough to give it a release, so the first Papa November release was also an early Static Caravan release.
